Ok, so the whole inspiration for this quick study of 4-chord songs was the following video by Australian comedy rock band Axis of Awesome:

They play their epic 4-chord song in the key of E, which is a bit tough on the uke, but if we shift it to the key of C, you've got the first 4 basic chords we've learned on the uke so far: C - G - Aminor - F.

The videos below are of songs that feature these 4 chords, and sometimes sneak some other chords, too, that will help us start to expand our chord repertoire. Enjoy!

1. Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

2. Stand By Me - Ben E. King

(This 4-chord song is a bit different from the first one because of the order in which the chords are played - the C-Am-F-G7 progression was popular in the 30s-40s-50s, featured in songs such as "Blue Moon", "All I Have to Do is Dream", "This Magic Moment", and later in songs like "Crocodile Rock" and "Happiness is a Warm Gun")

3. Let it Be - The Beatles

 More to come soon ...

4. Take Me Home, Country Roads (John Denver)

5. Wagonwheel (Old Crow Medicine Show)

6. I'm Yours (Jason Mraz)

7. Over the Rainbow (IZ)

8. I Will (Lennon/McCartney)
